How does flight connection in Keflavik Airport (Iceland) work? - flight connection at keflavik airport

On the way to New York to Helsinki, I have a close relationship to Keflavik Airport, Iceland (time = 65 minutes). It Does anybody know if a passenger can specifically in transit in Keflavik directly to the door the next flight or the passengers to pass through (1) safeguards need and / or (2) first pass scrutiny in Keflavik? Thank you very much.

From my experience, there is a security check between the section of the Schengen area and the EU section of the terminal. So, if your flight arrives in New York, you must give the security controls at the Schengen zone output.

In fact, he flew to Iceland last February and have to pass through security screening (x-ray and metal detectors) to the Schengen zone to leave, so even if you have a connecting flight and life in Iceland, you should go check at the airport.

Abnout time to do not worry, however, the heart of Keflavik Icelandair and to the transfer is as simple as possible. It will take 10-15 minutes maximum Arrival Millennium Development Goals at the door.

You go through passport control in Keflavik, but you have to go through security checks. In fact, it is probably the best airport you can fly because they are very small and easy to reach the bridge. Moreover, once all Icelandair flights to reach from the United States, about the same time, and all flights to continental Europe at the same time. And most people who go to the Keflavik Airport, a change in the level, so that makes it very easy. I just last year. It is probably the best way to reach Europe (unless you go non-stop).

Keflavik airport is really small. I think 65 minutes is a long time for the transfer of flights there. You may have to go through a security checkpoint, but it is fast in Keflavik, so no need to do about it.

Enjoy your trip!
