Yesterday I had a similar question in relation to the proposed test for pregnant women.
At the beginning I was against the evidence, as I described autism in a negative light. But after reading the replies I think a parent needs to know and learn about the condition because it is a difficult situation.
What worries me is that autism is on many levels and we give this test to predict this package so many cases at the lower end of the spectrum.
In my opinion, is the abortion of a child, because autism is a mistake, because the children with autism have a lot to offer and if it is a difficult situation manageable. But I would say I am a parent of a child with Asperger's syndrome.
I assume that more education about the disease, one step forward, but can only hope that this test will not lead to an increase in the abortion rate, that these children are hard work but worth it
